Who We Are

The Shortcut Through a Complex Process

Most people who come to us have already spent weeks going in circles. They find conflicting information online, deal with agents who push a single product regardless of fit, and still walk away with no clear answer on whether they actually qualify.

We built MM2H Advisor to fix that. We are an independent advisory service with no stake in which tier or pathway you choose. Our only job is to get you the right answer, fast, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks between your first enquiry and your first day living in Malaysia.

Over 10 years navigating this programme, through the 2021 overhaul, the 2024 liberalisation, and the 2025 record approval year, we have seen every scenario. We know which applications get stuck, which documents trip approvals, and exactly what it takes to get a clean first submission.

MM2H (Malaysia My Second Home) is a long-stay social visit pass that allows eligible foreigners to live in Malaysia on a renewable multi-year visa. In 2025, the programme approved 3,172 applications (its strongest year since the 2021 overhaul), generating RM3.88 billion in economic value including RM2.35 billion in fixed deposits and RM1.51 billion in property purchases.

Silver (5-year visa, RM500K fixed deposit), Gold (15-year visa, RM1M fixed deposit), and Platinum (20-year visa, RM2M fixed deposit). Silver is overwhelmingly the most popular, representing 83.5% of all 2025 approvals. The minimum age across all tiers was lowered from 30 to 25 as part of the 2024/2025 updates.

No. One of the most significant changes in the 2024/2025 update was the removal of the monthly offshore income requirement and the liquid asset rule. You now only need to meet the fixed deposit threshold for your chosen tier, making MM2H significantly more accessible than under the previous rules.

National MM2H covers Peninsular Malaysia and is administered by MOTAC/MOHA, with three tiers: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Sabah and Sarawak run independent state-level programmes with their own requirements and are administered separately. The SEZ/SFZ category is Johor-specific: SFZ refers to Forest City, while SEZ covers the broader Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone, with the lowest thresholds in the programme starting from USD 32,000 fixed deposit.

Processing typically takes 1 to 5 months from the point of a complete application submission. Once conditional approval is issued, you have 90 days to travel to Malaysia, complete your health screening, open your fixed deposit, and collect your visa. This is usually handled in a single trip.

Gold tier holders may work part-time (up to 20 hours per week) with prior approval. Platinum tier holders are permitted to work more broadly. Silver tier is primarily residential and does not permit employment. Rules are subject to change; always verify with us before making any decisions.

Yes. MM2H holders can purchase property in Malaysia subject to state minimum thresholds. In 2025, MM2H-linked residential property purchases totalled RM1.51 billion, a significant portion of the programme's overall RM3.88 billion economic contribution that year.

You can include your spouse, unmarried children up to age 34, parents, parents-in-law, and disabled children regardless of age. The expansion of the dependent child age from 21 to 34 was one of the most welcomed updates in the 2024/2025 rule changes.

Foreign-sourced income (including pensions, dividends, rental income abroad, and capital gains from overseas) is exempt from Malaysian income tax for MM2H holders. Malaysia only taxes income earned within the country, making it highly attractive for retirees and those with offshore income streams.

Yes. The Malaysian government requires all National MM2H applications to be submitted through a licensed MM2H agent. We work with licensed MM2H agents as part of our service, coordinating the submission process through our specialist network so nothing is missed and your application is filed correctly.
